Job summary

Southland Industries in Pflugerville, TX seeks a safety‑conscious delivery driver to drop off and pick up materials at job sites and vendor locations. You will operate company vehicles, secure loads, and maintain delivery records as part of a fast‑paced, employee‑owned team.

Required are a Class A CDL and 5+ years of experience, plus the ability to lift heavy items with pallet jacks or forklifts. The role supports warehouse and field operations with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience preferable.
• Valid Class A Driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products with pallet jack or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup materials from vendors and construction sites.
• Drive delivery trucks to job sites and secure loads safely.
• Load, unload, move and stage tools and equipment by hand or with equipment.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues promptly.
• Plan efficient routes and maintain proper documentation of deliveries.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection and maintain maintenance history.
• May provide guidance to junior staff.

Job description

Responsible for safely and efficiently dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites.

• Drives delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations. Properly secures and straps down materials safe delivery.
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, stages, transports tools, supplies and equipment by hand or using dolly and/or forklift.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and reports any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
• Maintains work area in clean and organized fashion.
• Plans efficient routes and ensures proper and safe stocking of vehicle.
• Maintains accurate delivery documentation and ensures all paperwork is completed properly.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle. Maintains vehicle and equipment maintenance history.
• May provide guidance to junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience is preferable
• Valid Class A Driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products using a pallet jack and/or forklift
• Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical projects and related tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Strong attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse and at the construction site
