Job summary

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) seeks a Fixed Assets Analyst Sr. to manage DMV’s fixed assets, including major equipment, real property, and CIP, with GASB compliance and accurate FAACS, LAS, Cardinal and AMS records.

You will lead annual inventories, reconcile assets, support audits, and advance automation and reporting efficiency through system integration and process improvements while collaborating with the Controller’s Office, Budget, IT and Facilities in Richmond.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB and CAPP for fixed assets and leases.
• Experience maintaining fixed assets and lease records.
• Experience analyzing fixed assets and lease data and reconciling.
• Experience applying accounting standards and internal controls.
• Experience maintaining records in financial or asset management systems.
• Experience researching accounting issues and providing solutions.
• Ability to liaise with financial and nonfinancial stakeholders and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage DMV fixed assets data within FAACS, LAS, Cardinal, AMS.
• Coordinate annual inventory counts for fixed assets and related items.
• Prepare year-end schedules, support audits, and control access in AMS.
• Drive modernization via automation and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with Controller’s Office, Budget, IT and Facilities to ensure data integrity.
