Job summary

Toyota North America in Plano, TX, seeks a Senior Asset Management Analyst – Accounting & Finance to lead cross-location fixed asset activities, including data maintenance, capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and financial close with SOX compliance.

You’ll partner with manufacturing, purchasing, and IT to review capital requests, optimize processes, run inventories, and present monthly results to senior management with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field.
• Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, while handling large amounts of data.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across teams including Manufacturing, Finance, Purchasing and Operations.
• Experience implementing tools, analytics, and processes to increase efficiency.
• Proven track record of process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial close for multiple locations by reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
• Maintain and enhance a fixed asset management system across locations/entities.
• Partner with project owners, manufacturing facilities, purchasing teams, and accounting stakeholders to review capital requests and capitalization treatment.
• Enforce capitalization, depreciation, and disposal policies in line with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Present financial information and reports to senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
• Continuously evaluate and improve fixed asset accounting processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve data integrity.
• Collaborate with IT and operations to ensure seamless integration of fixed asset processes.
• Lead fixed asset accounting with training and process alignment.
• Coordinate annual/quarterly capital project forecasts and asset retirement tracking.
• Oversee physical inventory for fixed assets.
• Prepare reports and lead discussions on capital expenditures, depreciation, SOX controls, and other financial data.
• Support audit requests and drive standardization of processes.
