Job summary

MP Materials seeks a seasoned Fixed Asset Manager to lead the Fixed Asset Team onsite in Fort Worth, TX. You will oversee project capitalization, asset tracking, SOX controls, and financial reporting, partnering with Operations and Finance to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will drive process improvements, manage ghost assets, depreciation, disposals, and close schedules while sustaining strong internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, asset management, or related fields, including at least 2 years in leadership or managerial role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex asset accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Build cross-functional partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and site leadership.
• Oversee tracking, recording, and capitalization of project costs and assets.
• Manage fixed asset observations and dispose ghost assets.
• Monitor spend against capital budgets and communicate variances to Finance and Operations.
• Strengthen internal controls over project authorization and spend approval in a SOX compliant environment.
• Lead and direct the Fixed Asset Team; provide coaching and performance management.
• Prepare Fixed Asset schedules for monthly close and financial reporting.
• Oversee depreciation runs, asset disposals, and project closeout activities.
