Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fisheries (Passage) Engineer to support water resources, dams and hydropower projects from Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR with a hybrid schedule. You will lead technical delivery, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and help grow the firm’s presence in the Pacific Northwest.

The role requires 10+ years in fish passage and screening engineering, a PE license in WA/OR/CA or ability to obtain within 6 months, and a strong track record in project delivery and client

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, design and construction of fish passage and screening facilities for dams, spillways and hydroelectric plants.
• Strong knowledge of fish passage/transport, collection and screening concepts.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities for guiding teams and interfacing with clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Resource or Lead for fish passage/screening infrastructure projects.
• Provide SME guidance and technical advisory leadership on fisheries infrastructure.
• Plan, organize, and manage production of project deliverables to ensure on-time quality and budget.
• Mentor and direct professionals to support career development and delivery of design solutions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and serve as technical point of contact.
