Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Fisheries (Passage) Engineer to lead fish passage and screening projects for water resources, dams, and hydropower facilities. The role supports projects from Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR with a hybrid schedule, collaborating with energy, water, and regional teams.

You will provide technical leadership, develop solutions for complex facilities, mentor engineers, and liaise with clients and agencies to ensure on-schedule, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, design and construction of fish passage and screening facilities for dams and hydropower projects.
• Strong knowledge of fish passage/transport, collection and screening
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Resource and Lead for fish passage projects.
• Provide SME leadership for fisheries infrastructure.
• Plan, organize, and manage production of project deliverables.
• Mentor and guide developing professionals to grow their careers.
• Ensure safety and quality across projects.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to proposals and market strategy.
