Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fisheries (Passage) Engineer to support water resources, dams, and hydropower projects in the Pacific Northwest with a hybrid schedule. You will lead technical execution of fish passage and screening infrastructure across water intakes, dams, and hydro facilities, serving as a senior technical resource and mentor.

You will develop designs, coordinate with clients and agencies, and help grow our Northwest practice while delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in fish passage and screening engineering.
• Existing WA, OR, ID, and/or CA PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Resource or Engineer of Record for fish passage and screening for water resources, dams, and hydropower projects.
• Plan, organize, and manage deliverables for on-time, high-quality, within-budget outcomes.
• Act as client and agency point of contact for fisheries engineering projects.
• Mentor developing professionals and guide delivery of innovative design solutions.
• Promote health and safety and lead quality management on complex projects.
