Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fisheries (Passage) Engineer to support water resources, dams and hydropower projects from Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA with a hybrid work schedule. You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team and serve as SME in fish passage design, screening infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.

The role combines technical leadership with client engagement and business development. 10+ years of experience and PE licensure in WA/OR/ID/CA preferred; master’s degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years of professional fish passage and screening engineering experience.
• PE registration in WA/OR/ID/CA or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Resource / Engineer of Record for fish passage and screening projects.
• Provide SME leadership for fisheries infrastructure in water resources, dams, and hydropower.
• Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables for on-time, on-budget results.
• Act as main technical contact with clients and agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and guide technical execution and career development.
• Review team work, provide design guidance, and ensure quality and safety.
• Engage in business development and regional marketing efforts.
