Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Fisheries (Passage) Engineer to lead fish passage and screening design for water resources, dams and hydropower projects from Bellevue, Washington or Portland, Oregon with a hybrid work schedule. The role will serve as a senior technical lead, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and guiding project delivery.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in fish passage, a PE license, and a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering (Masters preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience in fish passage and screening engineering for water resources, dams and hydropower projects.
• Existing Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and/or California PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Resource, Technical Lead and/or Engineer of Record for fish passage and screening infrastructure with responsibility for leading/reviewing projects.
• Provide SME and technical advisory leadership for fisheries infrastructure.
• Plan, organize, and manage production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and budget.
• Mentor and direct developing professionals to guide their execution and career development.
