Job summary

Qualifications

• This position has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) that must be demonstrated in the resume.
• Possess experience as a sworn law enforcement officer or agent with full arrest authority, or have held a federal 1801 series position.
• All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct classroom, lab, and field instruction for firearms training.
• Serve as lead instructor, SME, and program/course developer for firearms programs.
• Manage and conduct basic/advanced firearms training using approved lesson plans.
• Oversee basic training classes and coordinate field training and lab exercises.
• Monitor student progress and recommend remedial actions when needed.
