Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead the design and coordination of fire protection systems for aviation, hospitality, healthcare, and large commercial projects. The role offers mentorship, client interaction, and potential Engineer of Record responsibilities.

The position can be located anywhere in the US and supports remote work arrangements; PE licensure and 8+ years of relevant experience are preferred. Expect involvement in business development and project leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering is required.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in fire protection engineering for building projects.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
Fire protection experience with automatic sprinkler, standpipe, fire pumps, and life-safety systems is expected.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of fire protection systems for a variety of building projects.
Perform hydraulic calculations and code analyses.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and interface with AHJs and clients.
Provide QA/QC oversight and review submittals and RFIs.
Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.
