Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a senior mechanical engineer in California to lead complete design of complex mechanical systems. The role requires extensive experience and the ability to apply advanced engineering techniques under general supervision.

Responsibilities include developing conceptual layouts, performing stress analyses, reviewing vendor drawings, producing construction specs, and providing field support during startup. PE registration is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering registration highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex mechanical engineering assignments.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce detailed design calculations and material take-offs.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Provide field support during startup and fabrication phases.
