Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, AL is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design of complex process and utility systems. You will perform complete mechanical design work, review vendor drawings, and ensure conformance to codes and client specs.

The role requires 10+ years of industrial experience, a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, and PE registration is highly preferred. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Ability to lead a small team and mentor others.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical design for complex projects under supervision.
• Review vendor and discipline drawings for mechanical input.
• Coordinate with design leaders across disciplines to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide field startup support and constructability input.
• Develop construction specifications and assist in cost estimation.
• Lead drafting/engineering teams to deliver project packages.
