Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Philadelphia team on complex building projects. You will lead design of fire protection systems, collaborate with architects and other engineers, and interact with clients and authorities having jurisdiction.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 5+ years of fire protection experience, and strong knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC/IFC, and life safety. Hybrid work arrangement offered after training, with opportunities to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or related engineering field.
• PE license required.
• 5+ years in fire protection engineering.
• Experience in fire suppression, life safety, and building code analysis.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC/IFC.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• CFD/fire modeling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection and life safety systems for complex buildings.
• Prepare construction documents and code studies.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and assist with construction.
• Engage with AHJs and client meetings.
• Support CFD modeling and egress analysis as applicable.
• Provide technical guidance through design and construction.
• Site visits and construction administration support.
