Jacobs seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Cities & Places practice, delivering complex fire protection design across multiple markets. You will guide design staff, develop hydraulic calculations, and ensure code compliance for life safety systems on major projects.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and familiarity with NFPA/ICC codes, with readiness to travel 10–15% and work in a hybrid setting across U.S. locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related discipline.
10+ years of professional experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Knowledge of NFPA and ICC codes.
Willingness to travel 10–15% to sites.
Experience in fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm system design.

Responsibilities

Lead design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire protection systems.
Develop and optimize fire sprinkler, suppression, and alarm designs.
Ensure compliance with building and life safety codes.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for project delivery.
Travel to job sites as needed.
