Job summary
Syska Hennessy Group in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Fire Protection/Fire Life Safety Engineer to lead design and field work on complex building projects. You’ll collaborate with MEP teams, clients, and vendors to deliver safe, code-compliant systems.
The role requires a PE in Fire Protection, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD-MEP and REVIT. Travel to project sites is expected and a strong communication skillset is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years field experience with Fire Protection and Fire Alarm design.
- Knowledge of ICC, NFPA, and local codes; NYC codes preferred.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Fire Protection/Fire Life Safety Engineer, perform design engineering and provide system design support.
- Conduct field surveys, attend coordination meetings and job sites, and produce drawings.
- Apply codes and standards to all designs and conduct QA/QC oversight.
- Assist in business development and client relationship expansion.
