Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; field examples include Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Safety Technology.
• Must be self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision.
• At least 10 years of related experience; US citizenship required; PE licensure in any US state.

Responsibilities

• Act as Designer of Record (DOR) for fire protection design projects including schedule, budget, and supervising junior staff.
• Produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Perform code analysis per building/life safety codes; coordinate with stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct field investigations and construction administration tasks such as RFIs and submittals.
• Travel up to 10–15% to project sites as needed.
