Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join the Cities & Places team. You will develop and manage fire protection design across multiple markets, directing a team of engineers to produce drawings and hydraulic calculations for sprinkler, suppression, and alarm systems.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and a PE license. Willingness to travel approx. 10–15% and a readiness to work in a hybrid environment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience.
• PE license in any U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use skills to deliver challenging building projects.
• Direct activities of design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, ICC, and life-safety codes.
