Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Cities & Places team. You will work with licensed Fire Protection Engineers to develop and deliver drawings, calculations and analyses for fire sprinkler, suppression, and life-safety systems on diverse projects worldwide.

Required: a Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering or related field, 5+ years of experience, and a PE license. Willingness to travel ~10–15% and no visa sponsor needed. Hybrid work policies supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or other related discipline.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience.
• PE license in any U.S. State and not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm system design calculations and drawings.
• Direct activities of design staff to deliver project deliverables across markets.
• Collaborate with Cities & Places teams on projects located locally, nationally, and globally.
