Jacobs is hiring a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Cities & Places team. You will lead design staff, develop drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler, suppression, and alarm systems, and ensure compliance with building and life-safety codes across multiple markets worldwide.

Your role involves collaborating with experienced engineers, applying NFPA/ICC standards, and leveraging Revit and AutoCAD to deliver complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience.
• PE in any U.S. State, having passed the fire protection engineering examination or ability to obtain a license within 12 months.
• Will not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa to work for Jacobs in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Direct the activities of design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and life-safety code analysis.
• Collaborate on diverse building projects across markets to deliver engineering solutions.
