Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Cities & Places team. You will develop and deliver designs for fire protection systems across diverse markets, coordinating with engineers and designers on challenging projects.

Role requires a Bachelor’s in Fire Protection Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a PE licensure. Travel estimate 10–15%; hybrid work policy supports in-person and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in any U.S. state required.
• Sponsorship for employment visa (H-1B/L-1B/OPT/F-1) not needed now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver fire sprinkler, suppression, fire alarm, and life-safety system designs.
• Produce drawings and calculations in line with NFPA and ICC standards.
• Coordinate with design staff and project teams across multiple markets and regions.
