Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design across federal facilities and other markets. You will direct design staff, produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler, suppression, and alarm systems, and perform life-safety code analyses.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, a relevant degree, US citizenship, and a PE license. The role is hybrid with some travel globally, supporting diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related field; US citizenship.
• At least 10 years of related experience in fire protection engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
• Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire protection systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and code analyses for life-safety and building codes.
• Lead project delivery for federal and other facilities with strict deadlines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure quality control and sealing of drawings and specifications.
• Provide mentorship and development for junior staff.
