BB&E, a full-service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic at Norfolk Naval Station. The role focuses on independent design support for fire protection systems across life-safety projects, MILCON, and complex Navy facilities.

Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of experience, an ABET-accredited fire protection program, and PE registration (or PE required if mechanical degree).

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in fire protection engineering for facilities design.
• ABET-accredited degree in fire protection or mechanical engineering.
• If degree is in mechanical engineering, PE in Fire Protection required.

Responsabilités

• Provide independent fire protection engineering support for Navy and MILCON projects.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and disciplines to ensure system integration.
• Design fire protection systems including sprinkler, alarms, mass notification, and extinguishing systems.
