Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX. You will serve as the SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and applicable codes throughout design reviews, inspections, QA, submittals and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required; US citizen with ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Minimum of five years of fire protection engineering experience; knowledge of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA fire protection requirements.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure successful execution of fire protection features.
• Perform reviews, inspections, QA, submittals, acceptance testing and coordination across all project phases.
