Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support Fort Hood, TX-based federal construction projects.

The engineer will serve as the SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and codes. The role involves design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, acceptance testing, and coordination with project teams through all construction phases.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license and 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Familiarity with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and applicable codes.
• Experience with federal projects (USACE or comparable) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA fire protection requirements.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to implement fire protection features.
• Perform reviews, inspections, and acceptance testing for fire protection systems.
