Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
• US Army Corps of Engineers or federal project experience preferred.
• QA, commissioning and acceptance testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards across all phases.
• Perform design reviews, inspections, and acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders, and review submittals.
• Prepare technical reports and provide guidance on fire protection systems.
