Job summary

Accura is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will serve as the SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards throughout design reviews, inspections, and testing.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, reviewing submittals, and guiding government personnel through QA and acceptance activities as part of the construction process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
PE license required; US citizen with ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

Establish understanding of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders for fire protection features.
Perform reviews and acceptances testing, QA, and field changes.
Provide technical guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
Review contractor submittals and RFIs; conduct site inspections.
