Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Sr. Consultant - Fire and Life Safety Engineer for our Atlanta, GA office. You will lead design and implementation of fire protection and life safety systems on complex building projects, coordinating with clients and project teams across locations.

The role requires a BS in Fire Protection Engineering (or related field), 5+ years of consulting experience, and proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD. Strong communication and mentoring skills are a must.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of fire protection and life safety consulting experience.
• Experience in fire protection engineering design applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret building code, life safety, and fire code requirements (IBC/NFPA).
• Review architectural drawings for code compliance.
• Design fire protection and life safety systems including sprinklers, detection, smoke control and egress.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications; contribute to budgets and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in project reviews.
