Job summary

WSP is seeking a Sr. Consultant - Fire and Life Safety Engineer for our Atlanta, GA offices. Other locations considered: Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Miami, FL and Charlotte, NC.

This Full-Time role involves designing and integrating fire protection and life safety systems, interpreting ICC/NFPA codes, reviewing drawings, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project proposals and budgets. Compensation ranges from $100,800 to $136,000 annually and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering degree.
• 5+ years of fire protection and life safety consulting experience.
• REVIT and AutoCAD proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and development of fire protection and life safety systems across projects.
• Interpret building codes and NFPA requirements for compliance.
• Review architectural drawings for code compliance.
• Design sprinkler, alarm, smoke control, and egress systems.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in business development.
