Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to maintain critical life safety systems. This role involves close collaboration with our service team and clients to ensure systems are repaired efficiently and reliably.

You will read system drawings, apply NFPA 72 and NFPA 70 Article 760 knowledge, and provide guidance to junior technicians while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a repair or systems technician role in Fire Life and Safety.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 70 Article 760.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems.
• Use troubleshooting tools to detect fault conditions.
• Ensure maximum detection and alarm coverage during repairs.
• Produce NFPA-compliant repair reports for billing.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide guidance to other technicians.
• Train and develop other Service Technicians.
• Read and interpret fire system design drawings.
