Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities. You will work with our service team and clients to ensure life safety systems perform reliably, with strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in repair or tech roles, knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire alarm networks, and the ability to program systems using a laptop. OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in repair or systems technician roles in Fire Life and Safety.
• Familiar with NFPA 72, smoke control, and GUI/networked systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing circuit opens/shorts/ground faults.
• Able to program and repair systems with a laptop.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it.
• NICET I certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional/addressable/voice).
• Use troubleshooting tools to identify faults and ensure alarm coverage.
• Create repair reports for NFPA-compliant customer acceptance.
• Program systems via laptop and verify circuit integrity.
• Assist in vehicle inventory, tooling, and mentor other technicians.
