Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair and program Fire and Life Safety systems. You will work with our service team and clients to ensure reliable life safety performance and complete repair reports per NFPA standards.

The role requires 2–5 years in a repair or tech position, knowledge of NFPA 72, and the ability to program via laptop. OSHA 10 and NICET I are preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a repair or service tech role within Fire Life and Safety.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and Article 760 (Electrical Code) for fire systems.
• Ability to program and repair fire alarm systems using a laptop.
• NICET I Certification and OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Read and interpret fire system design drawings.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems across various configurations.
• Use testing tools to analyze fault conditions and ensure coverage.
• Produce repair reports per NFPA for customer acceptance and billing.
• Program systems via laptop and verify circuit integrity.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide guidance and support to other technicians.
