Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting capabilities. You will work with our sales, field project teams, and clients to ensure robust design, installation, and commissioning of our life-safety solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in fire-life safety, can program and commission mid-range systems independently, and are comfortable adhering to NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a technician role within fire-life safety.
• Able to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently.
• Able to terminate fire alarm control units and field equipment with minimal supervision.
• Capable of reading fire system design drawings and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Program and commission complex fire alarm systems to AHJ acceptance.
• Prepare commissioning and inspection reports per NFPA.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve effectively.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Program systems via laptops and manage job progress.
• Support and guide other technicians on site.
