Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a seasoned Fire Service Technician to support field repairs, programming, and troubleshooting of life safety systems. The role entails diagnosing complex issues, reporting repairs per NFPA standards, and maintaining system integrity in customer environments.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a Fire Life & Safety role, knowledge of NFPA 72, and strong laptop programming skills. OSHA 10 and NICET I are preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a repair or systems technician role in Fire Life & Safety.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm systems, including smoke control and networked solutions.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings and demonstrate circuit integrity.
• Proficient with programming and repairing fire alarm systems via laptop.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional, addressable, voice, networked).
• Program systems using laptop computers and ensure circuit integrity.
• Create repair reports per NFPA standards for customer acceptance and billing.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools; provide technician guidance.
• Support and train other Service Technicians on equipment and procedures.
