Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites across the region. The role involves panel reprogramming, device replacement, low-voltage troubleshooting, and system testing.

Expect hands-on work with networked fire alarm systems, with after-hours service and occasional travel. A strong customer-service orientation and ability to read blueprints and operate testing equipment are

Qualifications

• Fire Alarm experience with ability to program, troubleshoot and service systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Willingness for after-hours service and travel to customer sites.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment and commissioning devices.

Responsibilities

• Program fire alarm systems and networked fire alarm panels.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test at customer sites.
• Respond to service calls promptly and communicate status to PMs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs.
• Supervise installation to meet specs and safety guidelines.
• Complete required documentation on time.
