Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service networked fire alarm systems at customer sites across the United States. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, testing systems, and ensuring safety and quality in every installation.

You will handle panel programming, low-voltage troubleshooting, and documentation while collaborating with teams to meet contract specifications and customer needs.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of documented experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
Experience in fire alarm installation and programming.
NICET II or ability to obtain within first year.
Capable of reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
Able to perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs and work at heights.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install and program fire alarm systems at customer sites.
Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
Supervise installation to meet specs and safety guidelines.
Complete certification courses and documentation in a timely manner.
