Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to program, troubleshoot, configure, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will reprogram panels, replace devices, test low voltage networks, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.

The role requires reading blueprints and submittals, supervising equipment installations, and completing certification courses. After-hours on-call may be required with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with fire alarm systems and building systems is required.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, submittals and manuals is needed.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, configure and service fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Perform device replacement, reprogramming and testing of panels.
• Organize technical resources for efficient task execution.
• Program networked fire alarm, security and access control panels.
• Respond to service calls promptly and document work completed.
• Read blueprints and submittals; supervise equipment installations.
• Complete required certification courses and internal documentation.
