Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a skilled technician to install and program fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems at customer sites. You will handle panel programming, device replacement, and networked alarm configurations, ensuring adherence to safety and contract specs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, performing after-hours service, reading blueprints, supervising installations, and completing required certifications while maintaining thorough documentation and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, CCTV and Security Systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs and work in challenging locations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel as required.
• Must pass background and drug tests and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and program integrated security and fire alarm systems, including networked panels.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service customer systems; respond to service calls promptly.
• Coordinate with dispatch; monitor work orders and status updates.
• Read schematics, submittals, and manuals; supervise installation to spec.
• Complete certification courses and timely documentation of activities.
