Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Installer V to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites. The role emphasizes networked fire alarm systems, with services including panel repair, device replacement, low-voltage testing, and system testing.

Travel and weekend hours may be required for project coverage. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in low voltage electrical systems (Fire/Life Safety), a HS diploma, and experience reading

Qualifications

• 5+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• Basic understanding of network concepts and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems.
• Support panel repair, reprogramming, device replacement, and low-voltage testing.
• Assist with programming of fire alarm, security, and access control panels, focusing on networked systems.
• Respond to service calls promptly and complete troubleshooting and repairs.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manuals to guide work.
• Supervise and inspect equipment installation to ensure contract requirements are met.
