Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to program, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will handle panel programming, device repair, and testing, while coordinating with teams to meet contract specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, lifting up to 70 lbs, and after-hours availability. A Maine Electrical License and a valid driver's license are required including a background check.

Qualifications

• At least five years of documented Fire Alarm experience.
• Valid Maine Electrical License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Experience with test equipment and commissioning devices.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and use ladders safely.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background and drug tests.
• Ability to obtain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems at customer sites.
• Panel reprogramming, device replacement/repair, and system testing.
• Organize resources to ensure efficient task execution.
• Program networked fire alarm, security, and access control panels.
• Read blueprints and specs, supervise installation to spec.
• Complete certification courses and required documentation.
