Job Title: Senior Financial Planning Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides financial planning and analysis support to the corporate accounting function responsible for managing and understanding the company’s financial position and opportunities on a worldwide basis. The role involves performing economic valuation and financial planning analysis to support strategic decisions in mergers and acquisitions, budget planning, and capital expenditures.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget, including revenue forecasts, departmental budgets, balance sheet forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and developing summaries for presentations.
2. Participate in quarterly forecasting processes worldwide, ensuring deadlines are met, data is accurate, and forecasts are reasonable.
3. Collaborate with global financial departments to identify, understand, and document budget variances and adjustments.
4. Conduct ongoing financial and business analysis in areas such as expense performance, cost analysis, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.
5. Assist in merger and acquisition activities by preparing and reviewing financial data related to profitability, costs, and working capital.
6. Prepare and distribute financial planning and analysis reports for senior management.
7. Coordinate with outside consultants on valuations of investments, joint ventures, and partnerships.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

• BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in finance, budgeting, and analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct complex scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, draw conclusions, and recommend actions.
• Knowledge of investment analysis theory and practice.
• Experience with financial management systems such as SAP, Hyperion, or similar.
• Proficiency in creating, modifying, and understanding complex Excel spreadsheets for financial data analysis and modeling.
