Summary:

The Sr. Business Strategist will reside within the Strategic Advisory team, within the Office of the CDIO. The team operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and leadership enablement, supporting the development and enablement of strategies and tactics to transform the Data & Technology function at FedEx. The candidate must demonstrate leadership in evaluating and formulating strategic objectives and foster strong relationships across stakeholder groups at all levels. The role often involves operating in complex, ambiguous environments, requiring a proactive and adaptable approach.

Essential Functions

1. Support transformational strategic assessments for FedEx Data & Technology.
2. Lead evaluations of strategic objectives, influence decision-making based on business trends, data analytics, and strategic frameworks.
3. Develop analyses grounded in understanding of business, technology, industry, and market trends.
4. Create research methodologies, identify data sources, and develop opportunity models using statistical and BI tools.
5. Provide insights on strategic issues across various business dimensions, leveraging available and third-party data.
6. Engage in discussions with internal teams, providing fact-based recommendations.
7. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders, offering actionable insights.
8. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and cross-organizational teams.
9. Participate in cross-functional meetings, offering guidance and discussing impacts of strategic recommendations.
10. Manage external consulting engagements and support coaching and mentoring roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong business acumen and understanding of technology impacts on business.
• Experience translating leadership vision into strategic narratives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams or projects with high ambiguity and autonomy.
• Proven relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and cross-organizational teams.
• Comfort in interacting with leadership and managing strategic discussions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategy development, market research, or related areas.
• Business acumen with experience supporting transformational strategic assessments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with experience in BI tools and data modeling.
• Excellent human relations skills.
• Advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.

This range is an estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Eligible employees receive health, vision, dental, retirement, and tuition benefits.

Pay Range

$6,168.90 - $10,898.39
