Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX is seeking a Financial Examiner III to perform moderately complex financial examinations of cost reports and related documentation for Medicaid and non-Medicaid providers. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial examinations or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial examinations of financial compliance and cost reports for contracted providers.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and report examination results.
• Communicate with providers and cost report preparers to request clarifications or supporting docs.
• Prepare and issue reports and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.
