Responsibilities

• Conducts training and quality assurance with family financial counselors to ensure understanding of duties and standards.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, guarantors, insurers, government entities, clinical personnel, and management.
• Acts as back up for staff shortages and covers duties of Family Financial Services Counselor.
• Participates in unit and hospital education programs to maintain current skills.
• Provides input on staff performance to the Supervisor of Admitting and Financial Counseling.
• Resolves problems with internal and external clients involving supervisors when needed.
• Maintains deep knowledge of Federal Marketplace, Medicare, Managed Care, AHCCCS, and payer rules.
• Serves as primary financial contact for international patients seeking care at PC/PCMG.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
