Qualifications

• Customer service friendly approach in coordinating with the care team.
• Understanding of billing, coverage and payment options.
• Familiarity with payer rules and third party payers.

Responsibilities

• Meet with insured patients' parent/guardian to explain benefits and out-of-pocket amounts and determine ability to pay.
• Meet with self-pay patients' parent/guardian to assess coverage payment options.
• Provide patient cost estimates prior to service.
• Document activities and interactions for patient accounts.
• Prepare and submit financial assistance packets for review.
• Track financial assistance applications in a central repository.
• Collaborate with hospital departments, payers, and vendors on behalf of patients.
• Understand Marketplace, Medicare, AHCCCS, and other payer rules.
• Provide feedback to management and assist with service improvements.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
