Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will prepare profitability by geography/segment, participate in the annual budget process, and drive efficiency through standardization across finance.

You will report to senior management, conduct monthly reviews, and lead key initiatives. A strong accounting background, advanced Excel skills, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in finance/accounting or similar role.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Access; proficient with Office Suite.
• Strong communication, detail-orientation and time management.
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and follow-up ability.
• Proficient knowledge of accounting theory and methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/profitability statements by geography and segment.
• Participate in annual budget and mid-year forecasts.
• Recommend process changes to improve efficiency.
• Prepare analyses/reports for executives and senior management.
• Prepare cost center reports (budget vs. actual).
• Lead initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews with managers and directors.
• Serve as project manager for key initiatives.
