This Senior Financial Aid Specialist supports the Financial Aid function at Herzing University with policy, procedure, technology, and process optimization needs. This role requires high attention to detail and technical proficiency. The Senior Specialist also serves on the Financial Aid Compliance Team within the Home Office division of Financial Aid, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid - Compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ Years of Title IV administration experience preferred. Minimum 1 year of related experience required.
• Experience with automated systems and processes preferred.
• Experience with policy, procedure, and data system development using automation to accomplish objectives preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations related to financial aid eligibility and processing preferred.

Pay: Compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan with company match. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits of federal, state, military, and institutional funding programs, and collaborate on staff training opportunities.
• Analyze Financial Aid processes and recommend improvements leveraging technology, systems, and reporting.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades by designing test plans, documenting cases, and executing end-user testing.
• Partner with campus Financial Aid leadership on budget utilization, staffing, and resource management to support staffing levels and student needs.
• Maintain the FWS Tracker and resolve documented issues promptly.
• Configure Financial Aid software for award year, fund, and document setup to ensure system accuracy.
• Assist Financial Aid staff across campuses with troubleshooting, reviewing student files, and policy research.
• Commit to continuous improvement in process efficiency, accuracy, student satisfaction, and innovation.
• Demonstrate all aspects of the PRICE of Success.
