Job summary

S&P Global is seeking an Associate Director of Finance – Sales Compensation (Data Architecture & Strategy) to lead a centralized, governance-driven data platform for commission calculations and performance reporting.

You will partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Technology to deliver scalable data models, automate reconciliations, and enable real-time analytics for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sales compensation, data architecture, or financial systems, including 2+ years in a people leadership role.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale database design, schema development, ETL pipeline management, advanced SQL querying, database automation, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with scripting/automation tools (Python/Pandas, VBA, or Alteryx) for large-scale reconciliation pipelines and standardised adjustment workflows.
• Experience establishing SOX-compliant data governance, automated audit trails, validation models, and standardised adjustment protocols.
• Experience building real-time Power BI reports and dashboards for Director-level and above stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern a centralized, SOX-compliant data platform serving as the single source of truth for commission calculations and reporting.
• Detect and resolve data anomalies before they impact calculations; design automated reconciliation and standardised adjustments.
• Lead and develop a team of data and compensation analysts; set goals and allocate resources.
• Translate complex contracts into structured, reusable data frameworks for workflows.
• Shape Data Warehouse architecture and ETL workflows with BI and analytics teams.
• Present real-time analytics and data-quality metrics to senior leadership and drive adoption of correct processes.
