Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Edison, NJ is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead front-end contract negotiations and review RFPs from a finance perspective. You will optimize deal economics, pricing assumptions and risk mitigation across IT services opportunities.

You will coordinate with Sales, delivery, legal and commercial teams to balance competitiveness with sustainable financial outcomes, across multi-million-dollar deals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep business understanding of IT services contracts and structures.
• Deep experience in IT services deal finance, RFP review, pricing and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of fixed price, T&M, managed services, outcome-based and consumption-linked constructs.
• Proven experience supporting complex, multi-million-dollar and multi-service contracts.
• Leadership & Ways of Working.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and ability to influence senior Sales and Finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in an agile, high-pressure environment with quick turnaround expectations.
• Clear communication, negotiation, collaboration and solution-oriented problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Front-end and lead contract negotiations from the Finance standpoint, shaping commercially viable positions and ensuring financial, cash, tax, compliance and risk considerations are addressed before contract closure.
• Lead finance reviews of RFPs, proposals and new customer opportunities, translating commercial requirements into robust deal economics, pricing assumptions and approval recommendations.
• Assess solution economics across IT services like Application Development & Maintenance, Enterprise Services, Business Process Services, Infrastructure and Cloud, Cyber Security, IoT and other IT services.
• Review pricing models, rate cards, cost structures, margins, cash flows, payment terms, productivity commitments, investments, transition costs and commercial sensitivities.
• Partner with Sales, solution, delivery, legal and commercial teams during negotiation of multi-million-dollar contracts, balancing competitiveness with sustainable financial outcomes.
• Identify and quantify contractual exposures, including liabilities, service credits, penalties, benchmarking, termination, volume and productivity commitments; develop mitigations.
• Coordinate finance inputs across Business Finance, Taxation, Compliance, Treasury, Controllership and Collections, providing Sales with a single aligned finance view.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve commercial issues and drive decisions within short bid timelines across geographies, currencies, regulatory environments and customer requirements.
• Ensure approved assumptions, deviations, risks and mitigations are clearly documented and handed over for post-signature governance.
