You will collaborate with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of field services tasks, including observation, sampling, testing, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience in construction materials testing.
• High school diploma or GED required; maintain basic certifications per ECS policy.
• OSHA 10 may be required.
• Valid drivers license if driving for ECS.
• Excellent communication skills, dependable, detail-oriented.
• Advanced knowledge of CM testing principles and standards; ability to read/interpret plans.
• Ability to lift up to ~85 lbs and operate a vehicle safely.
• Ability to work independently and lead small field efforts.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks.
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials.
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution.
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
